About QR Codes

A QR code® (or Quick Response Code) is a type of matrix barcode that can be printed or shown as an online graphic. QR codes store information, such as web address links, and can be read by mobile devices with a camera. With QR codes, you can easily target your distribution to mobile device respondents.

Your survey’s QR code is linked to the anonymous link. When someone scans the code with a QR Reader app on their mobile device, they’ll immediately be directed to your survey. This is a convenient distribution option for receipts, posters, and other print media.

Qtip: Because the QR code redirects to the anonymous link, respondents who take the survey through this method will be anonymous, unless specifically asked for identifying information within the survey. Similar to the anonymous link, your survey’s QR code won’t change if you make updates to your survey.

Accessing QR Codes

To retrieve the QR code for your survey, navigate to the Distributions tab and select the QR code section. Click Download QR Code to download the QR code as a PNG image file.

Types of Projects Supported

Attention: Not all features described in this section are included in every license. Please contact your XM Success Representative or your Account Executive if you are interested in getting access to any of these features.

QR Codes are only available in several types of projects, including:

Survey projects
XM Solutions
Conjoint and MaxDiff projects

Any projects not listed above are not compatible with this distribution method.

Salesforce Response Mapping

Response Mapping is used to take the answers provided in a Qualtrics survey and map them back to a Salesforce record. For example, when your client takes a support feedback survey, their satisfaction level could be mapped back to Salesforce for the account manager to see.

Shareable Links

You can distribute your pulse program to participants using 1 shareable link. The survey connected to the link will change depending on the program schedule you set.

Distribution Reporting (CX)

Distribution reporting enables users to report on response and completion rates over one or more surveys using any CX Dashboards widget. Additionally, the feature allows data from distributions to be filtered by embedded data stored in the contact list.

Cluster Analysis

When we analyze our data, we are often concerned with different demographic groups, and will segment respondents by income, region, age, and more. But sometimes these labels can be reductive - after all, knowing you have a lot of male respondents doesn't tell you what kind of ad campaign they'd like to see. Is your audience primarily millenials? Soccer dads? Both? How do you put personal characteristics into terms that can be broken down for marketing purposes?

Configuring SuccessFactors T...

You can pull employee data directly from SuccessFactors into the Qualtrics platform through the use of workflows extraction tasks. However, SuccessFactors requires the configuration of an OAuth2 client in order for Qualtrics to retrieve data from their system. Prerequisite actions must be performed via the SuccessFactors Admin Portal in order to set up Qualtrics extraction tasks for the first time.
