Qualtrics offers a free account option that allows users to try a limited scope of features. However, more advanced research or complex feedback studies may require additional, advanced features. For researchers who are interested in exploring enhanced features, but aren’t ready to purchase, it’s easy to start a 30-day free trial of our Strategic Research offerings.

Not Included with the Strategic Research Trial
The Strategic Research trial has a few limitations compared to a full Strategic Research license:
- Expires in 30 days
- Can only collect 300 responses, including retaken and deleted responses. Responses in progress will not count towards this limit until they become recorded responses. See the Recorded Responses page for more information about what counts as a recorded response.
- Have a maximum of 3 active surveys at a time
- Send a maximum of 200 emails total/100 emails a week (total includes emails sent across all surveys – both invites, reminders, and thank yous).
- Limited look and feel customization
- Can select options on the Theme, Layout, and motion tabs of the Look & Feel editor. Cannot edit the header/footer sections of the General tab, custom CSS on the Style tab, use the Logo tab, or upload a background image on the Background tab.
- No file upload or screen capture question types
- No Javascript
- No Custom XM Solutions (authoring)
- No custom themes
- No SMS distributions
- No offline app
- No XM Directory
- No dashboards
- Doesn’t have access to the following XM Solutions that are included with a Strategic Research license:
- Product Optimization (Conjoint)
- Product Prioritization (MaxDiff)
- Pricing Study – Gabor Granger
- Experience Drivers Analysis
- No phone, chat, or email support

If you don’t have an account yet, you can sign up for your Strategic Research trial on this page.
Users with free accounts can either click the Start Free Trial banner on the lower-left of every page, or go to the Plans page by clicking Upgrade Plan from the account menu and select Strategic Research.
