Why Qualtrics – Caroline Mogford – Marketing Director EMEA – London, UK
When I think about the roles I've enjoyed most in my career, they have all involved two basic elements: freedom and the chance to build something. I have loved building the Qualtrics EMEA marketing team from one person (the amazing Kate Goodison in our Dublin office) to the 15 people and 5 nationalities we currently have. I have spent the past 3 years working with my EMEA colleagues to build a strong business and team, and for me, that is immensely rewarding.
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
So, I had a long checklist that any job to lure me away from nearly a decade at Google needed to meet. High on the list were: a founder-led company, an amazing product, something I could market with passion and great people. Qualtrics ticked all those boxes and offered me the freedom to build our market in EMEA.
What is your favorite part of your role?
Living our Employee Experience beliefs. We have a high hiring bar and once people join our team, I really enjoy empowering and supporting them to achieve great things. I am very proud of the marketing team we have built here in EMEA.
What surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
The variety! Coming from a larger company, I was used to more stakeholder management and to narrower roles. Now, on the other hand, as part of the EMEA Leadership team, I'm involved in a wide range of topics. And as a marketer, there is a lot of freedom to experiment compared to working at a larger company.
What made you want to get into Marketing?
I like the analytical core to marketing - I have very clear ownership of my metrics and can clearly measure my impact. SaaS marketing provides this but also allows for creativity and fun. No two days are ever the same in marketing at Qualtrics.
