Describe Qualtrics to a candidate in 3 words!
Unique, Challenging, Fun
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
When I finished my studies in Dublin, I was looking for a sales role to kick-off my career in a fast-growing organisation. I heard about Qualtrics for the first time in a Business Insider article “Top 25 companies to bet your career on in 2015” highlighting the huge potential of Qualtrics, “a family-run business that’s going gangbusters”.
At this time Qualtrics became a unicorn. The company had a strong brand awareness in the US but they were just starting to expand their business in Europe and the brand was unknown in France. I saw a huge opportunity to join this team and becoming part of the first people growing the business in France.
What was the turning point where you 'had to have the job'?
I was particularly amazed by the company culture when I visited Qualtrics EMEA office for the first time. You could feel a friendly atmosphere and a dynamic, very unique environment. After interacting with Qualtrics employees, I was immediately convinced this was the best workplace to start my career.
What does your day look like?
Every day at Qualtrics starts with a five-star breakfast served in our kitchen area. I always make sure to read all my emails and set the priorities of the day before 8.30am. My morning is focused on generating sales pipeline by interacting with key prospects and strategizing with my team. The rest of the day is generally booked with clients and prospects meetings. Each day I block at least one hour of self-development to be always fully updated with the product evolutions and also to keep a strong knowledge on key topics related to our solutions.
Qualtrics EMEA office is based in a very central area of Dublin so we always have something to do after work between colleagues (going to gym, theatre, sailing in Dublin bay, doing cooking classes, playing golf...). We also have a private pub at our top floor where we can enjoy a few drinks playing pool and table-tennis to start the weekend and keep up with the rest of the company.
What is your favorite part of your role?
To win. Qualtrics is constantly challenging us with individual and team competitions with unbelievable prizes. In only 2 years I won a flight in our CEO private jet, a five-star weekend in Monaco with my team, an Iphone X, a tour on a luxury yacht, a one week trip in Toronto and much more… When I see how fast we grew in France with a “one team spirit”, it makes me incredibly proud to be part of that story.
What surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
The growth pace. When I started in October 2015, we were only 80 employees working for EMEA in Dublin. Today we are more than 200 in Dublin and 300 in EMEA when we include our new offices in Paris, London, Munich and Krakow. And this is just the beginning...
