Why Qualtrics
Why an Engineering Internship at Qualtrics? Lindsey’s Story
I think my biggest ‘why’ is just the desire to keep learning and improving. Whether it’s work or hobbies or anything else, I don’t want to feel stuck. Qualtrics connects to my ‘why’ by giving me a space to learn and use what I learn to make products that I am proud of. I am able to work with people who help me grow and provide a safe space for mistakes.
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
I was attracted to Qualtrics mostly because of the culture and reputation. I had heard so many great things about the people that worked here and the atmosphere. It seemed like a place where I could write meaningful code and have a great time doing it!
What does your day look like?
- Come into work at 8:30 and grab some cereal on my way up to my desk
- I like to start my day by making goals for what I’m going to get done, so I write that up
- Then it’s coding and testing for the next 3 ish hours
- Get lunch :)
- Usually, after lunch, I walk around, look for cute dogs and get some snacks to get me through the second half of the day
- More coding till its time to go!
Any tips for someone who is considering an opportunity at Qualtrics?
My only tip for anyone considering Qualtrics is to go for it and be all in! It is a great place and you will have so many great experiences if you let yourself, I definitely have! It’s a great place.
What made you want to get into engineering?
I wanted to get into engineering because I like the problem-solving aspect of it. There is something satisfying about using a set of tools to solve a problem and seeing the things you can create from solving the little problems.
