Sydney, Technical Account Manager, Avid Traveler
I've always been technically minded and love learning new things. I also love working with people to solve hard problems. Qualtrics has been a great opportunity to continue to grow in my technical skills, grow relationships with clients and peers, and have a fun time doing it!
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
I was attracted to Qualtrics because there aren't many opportunities in your career lifetime to be a part of such an industry-dominating company. It's an exciting time to be in Experience Management and I knew I wanted to be a part of improving experiences across all facets of our world.
What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?
I knew I had to work at Qualtrics when I learned that there are corporate passes to ski at Sundance (just kidding!). The perks are just icing on the cake! I knew the role was the right fit for my goals and the culture at Qualtrics is what finally sold me.
What is your favorite part of your role?
My favorite part of the role is working with my clients to learn their needs, strategize how to fill those needs, then help them every step of the way to meet those goals. My clients are doing pretty cool stuff with their programs and I'm lucky to be a part of it!
If you are not originally from Utah can you tell us your story of moving there?
I'm originally from Minnesota – born and raised. While Minnesota will always be home, I knew I wanted to get out and explore everything that the West has to offer while still early in my career. Between the National Parks, ski resorts, biking, endless miles of hiking trails, and climbing, there is never a shortage of adventure in Utah.
What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
The culture here far exceeded my expectations. My teammates are some of the coolest people I've met and are truly dedicated to improving the customer and employee experience. Plus, sometimes they bring in baked goods or homemade ice cream, which makes them an instant friend in my book.
How have you become involved in the community at Qualtrics? What has that meant to you?
Moving across the country to work at Qualtrics I was a bit nervous on how I would find community in a new city. My fears were instantly squashed my first day walking into the office. My teammates were so welcoming and included me in any social activity going on. Since starting at Qualtrics I've backpacked, skied, hiked, and biked with fellow Qualtrics employees! When it's safe to do so, we also commute to the office and work in person together one day a week which is a great time to connect.
Qualtrics is growing, and if you're ready to find your "why" at a place like this, you can explore our open opportunities at any time by visiting our career page or by joining our talent community.
