Lucy, Technical Account Manager, on her favorite part of Qualtrics: the people
I get a lot of fulfillment out of making other people's lives easier. Whether it's assisting a client with a technical issue, mentoring a new team member, or helping someone get hired here, my job as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) constantly gives me the opportunity to brighten someone's day and help out.
What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?
I knew I had to have this job after my final interview. I looked back at all the conversations I had and realized that every single person I spoke to was kind, genuine, and loved their job. I found our conversations to be effortless and enjoyable, and I truly felt like I would fit into the culture here at Qualtrics. I was absolutely thrilled when I got my offer!
What does your day look like?
Reviewing my to-do list for the day, client meetings, talking with my mentor, attending team meetings, and always learning and staying up-to-date on Qualtrics products and updates! My favorite part of my role is definitely the collaboration among TAMs. Everyone is so willing to help each other out and I feel very comfortable asking questions and asking for help. There is so much knowledge shared across this organization and it's very easy to learn from others here.
You moved to join Qualtrics, right?
I was born and raised in Ohio and was looking to make a change to move to a big city. Qualtrics gave me the opportunity to move to Chicago and helped with my moving expenses. My onboarding team planned events to help introduce me to all my new coworkers as well as fun places around Chicago. Even though I've only lived here a few months, Qualtrics really helped me get acclimated to the city and I can't wait to explore it more with my Q friends!
What's a favorite moment/memory of your time at Qualtrics so far?
My favorite memory is definitely the Enterprise Services Summit back in December 2021. We all got together in Provo for a few days of learning, networking, training, and getting to know each other better. A few of us even extended the trip to spend the weekend in Park City. I was fairly new at the time but I felt like I was welcomed with open arms and it was so much fun!
