Psychology + Technology: Technical Account Manager Ryn’s story
My background in psychology and human-computer interaction provide a unique opportunity for me to do what I love: understand human behavior and leverage digital assets to improve our individual and collective experiences. I strive to empower people in digital choice environments and serve as an effective instrument for social good by co-creating holistic, inclusive, and human-centric solutions.
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
Culture! From our people to our processes to our products – TACOS is alive and well in every aspect of what, how, and why we do what we do.
What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?
I loved Qualtrics from my days working in the lab. I found the platform provided everything we needed to run our experiments. When I was contacted by Qualtrics about the TAM role, I was eager to hear more. Every interview was incredible. I felt an instant connection to the values and culture of the company. I was (and still am) excited about how and WHY we are expanding our product and specialty lines; I'm motivated every day to go over and above for my team, clients, and myself!
What does your day look like?
Wake up at 5 am, water my plants, play with my dogs and watch 1 episode of Love Island (guilty pleasure) in the background. I try to meditate or do yoga before signing on around 8-9 am. Every day is different, but I’m usually in meetings with clients, my team, or working groups finding creative solutions to complex problems. At 6pm, I reflect on progress and sign off so I can jog, have dinner with my partner, and get a solid 7-8 hours of sleep.
What is your favorite part of your role?
Enabling my team and clients through the use of Qualtrics' products and services.

What's a favorite moment/memory of your time at Qualtrics so far? Or an impactful moment?
Day 1, I was invited to my team's weekly meeting. While waiting for everyone to join, we had music playing, fun comments in the chat, and smiles all-around. What a wonderful way to join a team and end a Monday!
How have you become involved in the community at Qualtrics? What has that meant to you?
Yes! Q-Groups are incredible. I've joined MosaiQ, Q&Able, and WLD. Having a dedicated space to connect with others and develop myself personally and professionally is outstanding. The discussions and events are thoughtful and informative. I've felt a deeper sense of belonging at the company and within my communities as a result.

What's a myth about your type of job that you'd like to bust? Or about working at Qualtrics?
That we are just another tech company that doesn't care about its employees, customers, or the impact we have on the world. It couldn't be further from the truth.
