My Qualtrics Experience – Steven Barnett – Software Engineer – Provo
What did you choose as your Qualtrics Experience?
One of my bucket list items is to attend the four major tennis tournaments in the world. I've crossed Wimbledon and the French Open off my list so far. Over Labor Day weekend I flew out to New York with a friend of mine and we spent two days watching tennis at the US Open. I think the total time spent was about 26 hours. We saw many of the top players: Roger Federer, Serena and Venus Williams, Rafael Nadal, Sloane Stephens, etc. It was incredible!
One of our objectives at Qualtrics is to encourage employees to Learn, Lead, and Live. Explain how this experience encouraged those traits?
Tennis is something that brings people together from all sorts of backgrounds and areas of the world. It's fun to all converge at a tennis match and find commonality in the love of the game. And to experience together the wide range of emotions that come with being a fan of tennis. People from different situations cheer for the same player and they can lament together when their favorite player loses. It's refreshing to put aside external differences and realize how much we have in common.
