My Qualtrics Experience – Ian McVey – Enterprise Team Lead – London
What did you choose as your Qualtrics Experience?
I wanted to get engaged with FivefortheFight - mainly in memory of our friend, Dermot Costello, but also for other loved ones who have/are/will suffer from the horrid disease that is Cancer. So we decided to get Team North EMEA together and do a challenge. 5 months later we were all trekking the Three Peaks Challenge — an audacious attempt to scale the 3 highest peaks in the UK in under 24 hours (including travel time between them!). 5 months and 24 hours (ish) later we had achieved the challenge, created incredible memories, and raised a solid amount for FivefortheFight
One of our objectives at Qualtrics is to encourage employees to Learn, Lead, and Live. What did you learn through this experience?
I learnt many things through this experience. How great our team are, tenacity in the face of adversity, undertaking the challenge with great humour and resilience - a growth mindset in action! How the human spirit of generosity and joy is the bedrock to a rich and meaningful life. And how the memory of a man, Dermot, who lived by these values, inspires a legacy through the motivation of others fortunate enough to have known him.
