What is your ‘why’ and how does Qualtrics connect with your ‘why’?
I’ve been part of this company for some time now, and even to this day Qualtrics keeps surprising me and keeps exceeding my expectations. We’ve accomplished so much as a company, and there’s still so much to accomplish. I’m able to work in a fast-paced environment that allows me to accelerate on a professional and personal level. The energy that I get from the technology, the colleagues, and the customers, is better than any energy drink out there. Qualtrics has taught me a lot of things over the years. Qualtrics has, for me personally, a great work-life balance that compliments me.
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
It’s been 7 years, but to this day I can still wholeheartedly say — the technology and the people. I got introduced to Social Connect during my internship at Microsoft Belgium. During my internship, I did research on Social Media Monitoring tools & analysis and Microsoft was using Social Connect back then. It was so great working with them and the technology back then was amazing. And funnily enough, after my internship, I did a postgraduate study on digital communication and by coincidence, that day, Jozefien, was looking for people to join the Social Connect team in Ghent and from there the rest is history.
What does your day look like?
As a Product Manager, I usually start my day catching up on the overnight emails and slack messages just like anyone else. After that, it depends on where we are in a release. Usually, it’s either of these: translating a vision, based on customer feedback and market research, into an actionable feature, scoping out the time and effort needed, and translating that into milestones to ultimately have the feature in place. After it’s live we start looking at the metrics and data from users and then we start the process again for the next feature or product.
What is your favorite part of your role?
I always get excited when I’m able to chat and join customer meetings to discuss our new features, our technology, and discuss how they can become more effective. Seeing the adoption rate and metrics of new features we pushed out is something that really gets me going.
What surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
I think the culture at Qualtrics is really unique and special. Everyone here has a great sense of responsibility and is proud about what they do. Over the years many colleagues have become friends and I truly find that special. We stick together as one team with one goal in mind even though we work in different departments or have different roles.
