Piotr, Principal Software Engineer: cracking complex problems
I like cracking complex problems; Qualtrics gives me the opportunity to do so and I am not bored any single minute. I am engaged in the north-star process of several teams, helping them in building scalable solutions that are valuable for our customers. In addition, I am coding more than any time before, delivering projects that are used by multiple teams in the company.
What was the turning point where you knew you "had to have the job" at Qualtrics?
Interview process. I was amazed by the people to whom I was talking to that time.
What does your day look like?
Depends, as every day may be different. Sometimes trying to catch up with emails/slack, designing, reviewing DOH documents, interviews, planning, coding.
Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics? Or advice for someone looking to get into a career like yours? Tips for someone in general?
Qualtrics allows (I would say even requires) people to have an impact. Be proactive in ideas, but also make sure that you can drive these ideas from the beginning (designing), through convincing others up to owning the solution in production.
If you've been at Qualtrics for a while, why is it still Qualtrics for you? How has Qualtrics lived up to your expectations? How has it been different?
Every quarter is different as our platform evolves, we are seeing new challenges behind the corner. Different technologies, bigger scale, things like COVID which impacts that way we are thinking about reliability of data.
What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?
Impactful, care, transparent.
Qualtrics is growing, and if you're ready to find your "why" at a place like this, you can explore our open opportunities at any time by visiting our career page or by joining our talent community.
