Jess breaks down her experience as a Product Specialist in her Why Qualtrics story below.
After graduating university, I was keen to focus on my career development and learning new skills. I was drawn to the hyper-growth trajectory and potential that Qualtrics had and I knew that there was a lot to learn and FAST, which was also a great fit for my early career.
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
I saw that there was potential to quickly develop crucial skills in the ever-changing tech environment and thus never given the chance to be bored. I needed to be in a place where I could constantly learn, and never run out of things to learn, whether it's adapting to the new updates in product knowledge or the soft skills in dealing with a large number of clients from different industries. I wanted a lot of exposure and Qualtrics provided a great window into that and room to grow into on a long-term scale.
What surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?
I was pleasantly surprised at how close the team got, even if we had different personalities and values. The team mingled very well and it's really a joy to come into work and chat with your colleagues, friends. We hang outside of work quite often, which means going to events that I usually wouldn't attend (such as watching a live AFL match). There's a chance to work with and meet people across the globe, and not just be acquainted with them but to actually have the workplace freedom to spend time with them and show them around the city.
Qualtrics also gave me the opportunity to live and work in Provo, Utah for 3 months, and it had been an absolute joy to have met so many people across the globe and knowing exactly who you’re working with even if you’re on the other side of the world.
