TACOS in Tokyo: Taro, Enterprise Team Lead

I value how authentically I can behave when I meet people. Every day I ask myself if I can share my values with people as much as I wish. I sometimes can feel myself growing personally by being honest and sharing my values.

The values that carry through my everyday life are all connected to TACOS! And that is how my 'why' connects with Qualtrics.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

The transparency.

What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?

Enjoying my professional work has to be the first priority in my work-life.

What does your day look like?

It looks fulfilled and content for Qualtrics life.

What is your favorite part of your role?

Connecting with people and teaching or being taught in conversations with those people.

What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?

Most people are working from home amid COVID-19, but the way the company has grown significantly in the Japanese market.

What are your aspirations in career/life?

People, diversity, and inclusion.

What's a favorite moment/memory of your time at Qualtrics so far? Or an impactful moment?

Having a bento box in the office with wonderful colleagues.

How have you become involved in community at Qualtrics? What has that meant to you?

I hope that this Brand Ambassador community is a great opportunity in which I can be involved globally.

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?

Edgy company in competency, culture, and technology.

What's a myth about your type of job that you'd like to bust? Or about working at Qualtrics?

It should be staying to complete the project overnight like today.

Taro is an alumnus of Kobe University and started his career at Gemini Consulting. Taro was a baseball coach for local elementary school kids in Shibuya Tokyo before this year Sakura blooming. It's been almost six years of wonderful experiences with his son and his friends, and their parents as well. Practicing hard, enjoying it a lot, and building trust with those families together. It’s an invaluable experience, and he would love to share the experiences with Qualtrics friends at some point!!
