My family is definitely my why. I do what I do so I can help foster an environment for great experiences for my wife, kids, extended family, and friends. My hope is that they look back on our experiences over the years and give it a 5-star rating. The fact that Qualtrics is in the business of improving experiences, it's a daily reminder for me and connects me to my why.
What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?
I would have to say the passion. My first contact with anyone at Qualtrics was with Ryan Smith and Stuart Orgill in 2012 as they were looking to build out their Enterprise sales team. We had lunch at Kneaders near the office and they were just so passionate about what they were building. It wasn't the right time for me to make a move, but their belief in their vision of what Qualtrics was going to become really stayed with me.
What is your favorite part of your role?
I get to engage with some of the top brands in the world and have an impact on how they think about experiences across their organization. In the process, I'm working with some of the sharpest minds at Qualtrics in trying to work through complex sales cycles which is always a challenge.
Tips for someone in general?
Be able to embrace change. It's coming whether you like it or not, and the sooner you can adapt to it, the easier it is to make progress in your role.
What are your aspirations in your career/life?
I'd love the opportunity to be in leadership at some point. I think the opportunity to build a sales team, sharing what I've learned over the years, and helping them be successful in meeting their goals would be exciting.
