Gurdeep joined Qualtrics in 2024, prior to which he was Corporate Vice President at Microsoft responsible for AI Incubations. During his long career at Microsoft, he led major initiatives in AI, built the Teams business, including running Skype, and was an Engineer on Windows NT and Internet core technologies. He is credited as the inventor of VPNs. Gurdeep also sits on the boards of multiple inventive tech startups.
